Audi / VW 1.8L Turbo 20v (180PS) I-Beam Connecting Rods

Manufactured from 4340 high tensile steel, these I-Beam connecting rods are designed for high performance, extreme durability, and extra rigidity. They feature a tapered pin end, making them compatible with OEM pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material, offering excellent resistance to wear and fatigue, and include a radial groove for an oil reservoir. The rods are shot peened to relieve stress and undergo multi-stage heat treatment to enhance rigidity. Tight tolerances in the production process ensure perfect fitment while optimizing oil clearances. Bend and twist are tightly controlled.

Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with an optional upgrade to ARP L19 material at 260,000 psi. The kit is supplied with ARP moly and full fitting instructions.
