The I-Beam Connecting Rods for the Opel 1.6L Turbo Z16 are crafted from 4340 high tensile steel, ensuring high performance, extreme durability, and enhanced rigidity. The straight cut pin end design increases durability, making these rods suitable for use exclusively with aftermarket pistons. The bushings are constructed from AMPCO 18 material, providing excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and feature radial grooves that act as an oil reservoir. Each rod undergoes shot peening to relieve stress and is subjected to multi-stage heat treatment to maximize rigidity. The production process maintains tight tolerances for optimal fitment and oil clearances, while controlling bend and twist effectively.

Each rod is equipped with ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with an optional upgrade to ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi. The complete kit includes ARP moly and comprehensive fitting instructions.
