Mercedes Smart 600cc / 700cc H-Beam Connecting Rods

Manufactured from 4340 high tensile steel, these connecting rods are designed for high performance and extreme durability. The bushings are made from aluminum-silicon/bronze material and feature a radial groove acting as an oil reservoir. The rods have a "Ribbed pin end" to minimize pin end distortion under heavy inertial loads while saving excess weight. They are shot peened to relieve stress and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Tight tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fitment while optimizing oil clearances. Bend and twist are tightly controlled. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with an optional upgrade to ARP Custom Age 625 material at 280,000 psi. The kit is supplied with ARP moly and full fitting instructions.
