I-Beam Heavy Duty Connecting Rods for Mercedes A45 AMG M133

The I-Beam “Heavy Duty” series connecting rods are designed specifically for Mercedes A45 AMG M133 engines, catering to high horsepower and boost applications. Constructed from premium 4340 high tensile steel, these rods feature a specially optimized shape that enhances performance and durability.

The bushings are crafted from AMPCO 18 material, providing excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and include a radial groove that serves as an oil reservoir. Each rod undergoes shot peening to relieve material stress and is subjected to multi-stage heat treatment to enhance rigidity. The production process maintains tight tolerances, ensuring a perfect fit and optimized oil clearances while controlling bend and twist.

Each rod is equipped with 3/8 ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with an optional upgrade to ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi. The complete kit includes ARP moly and comprehensive fitting instructions.
