The Turbosmart StraightGate40 is the most compact butterfly-style external wastegate, engineered for tight engine bay applications where space is at a premium. Featuring a zero-offset butterfly valve, the StraightGate40 delivers exceptional exhaust flow—up to 217.4 CFM (6.16 m³/min)—and nearly linear boost control throughout the full operating range.

Unlike traditional poppet-style wastegates, the StraightGate40’s centrally pivoting butterfly valve is self-balanced, with exhaust drive pressure applied equally to both sides. This innovative design reduces the actuator’s workload, allowing for precise control even under extreme drive pressures and expanding the tuning window for advanced setups.

The eSG40 Electronic StraightGate eliminates reference hoses, springs, and diaphragms, utilizing a servo motor with Turbosmart’s zero-backdrive gearbox for full electronic actuation. This setup minimizes current draw and maintains stable operation under high boost. Integrated onboard sensors provide both analog (0-5V) and digital (PWM) outputs for actuator temperature and valve position, ensuring accurate feedback for advanced engine management systems. Liquid cooling maintains actuator stability during demanding conditions.
