This turbo heat shield features a multi-layer construction designed to insulate and hold up under extreme conditions.

Construction

• Outer shell: Silicone-coated to insulate and resist harsh conditions; prevents fraying and encases seams to make them over 4× stronger.
• Insulation layer: Thick silica insulation to keep heat in the turbo shield and turbo housing; silica’s low thermal conductivity makes it an effective insulator.
• Inner layer: Stainless steel, glass fiber, and silicone to add insulating and thermal properties; improves seam strength, durability, and insulation value.
• Inner cover: Stainless steel fabric designed for the highest temperatures; won’t break down or become brittle with heat.
