This is due to the direct injection fueling system, where fuel is sprayed directly into the combustion chamber, leaving the intake valves uncleaned by fuel. Consequently, carbon deposits, originating from oil fumes of the stock PCV system, accumulate on the valves.

The RTMG Oil Catch Can kit can significantly reduce carbon build-up on the intake valves by up to 60%. Additionally, the catch can prevents oil from pooling into the intercooler and intercooler hoses.
