This occurs due to the direct injection fueling system, where fuel is sprayed directly into the combustion chamber, leaving the intake valves uncleaned by fuel. As a result, carbon deposits, a byproduct of oil fumes from the stock PCV system, accumulate on the valves.

The RTMG Oil Catch Can kit can reduce carbon build-up on the intake valves by up to 60%. It also prevents oil pooling in the intercooler and intercooler hoses.
