It addresses one of the biggest reliability and safety issues of the EA888.3 engines, as in case of engine damage, the stock oil pan breaks, causing all the oil to spill onto the ground, which risks the car slipping—a crucial advantage. The second advantage is that it prevents fire after the oil pan breaks or cracks, and also stops the engine from running without oil.

The factory made it from plastic because it's cheaper to produce, but the advantages of an aluminum oil pan truly make it worth the cost to the fullest
