Powerlite Radial Mount

The Powerlite four piston radial mount caliper weighs 2.26 pounds and features a sleek profile, superior strength, and durability in high-temperature situations. It is adaptable to a variety of sports, rally, and off-road driving applications.

Strength is achieved through a combination of process and design. The stress-flow forging process re-aligns the metal's grain structure within the caliper body, eliminating stresses that occur when machining a straight block billet. The FEA-generated radial transition design removes steps and shoulders between the piston housing body and caliper bridges, enhancing resistance to deflection and caliper separation under load.

The Powerlite utilizes a new 7912 type brake pad, supported from the top by Quick-clip pad retainers. This design eliminates the need for a pad support step at the bottom of the caliper, allowing for additional clearance for mounting closer to the hub on smaller wheel and rotor applications. The pad radius is compatible with rotor diameters ranging from 9.45" (240 mm) to 11.75" (298.5 mm), and the caliper fits easily within many 13.00" (330.2 mm) wheel applications. Quick-Clips facilitate easy pad access without requiring caliper removal. Brake pad compounds are available for various sport and competition applications.
