Introducing a solution for the air intake challenge in the new 1.2 and 1.4 TSI EA211 Engines. These engines feature a turbocharger located at the back and an airbox positioned directly on top of the motor. Removing the airbox and its piping makes it difficult to install an air intake system due to the small lip of the turbocharger, which is not safe for securing a silicone hose.
This adapter addresses the issue by fastening onto the turbo, similar to the factory plastic tube, while providing a larger surface for a silicone hose installation. It seals on the turbocharger with an o-ring, ensuring a secure fit.
