Opel 1.6L Turbo Z16 I-Beam Connecting Rods

The I-Beam Connecting rods for Opel 1.6L Turbo Z16 are crafted from 4340 high tensile steel, ensuring high performance, extreme durability, and extra rigidity. Designed with a “straight cut” pin end, these rods are compatible exclusively with aftermarket pistons. The bushings, made from AMPCO 18 material, offer excellent resistance to wear and fatigue, featuring a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. Shot peened to relieve stress and multi-stage heat treated, these rods provide increased rigidity. Tight production tolerances ensure perfect fitment and optimized oil clearances, with controlled bend and twist. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with an optional ARP L19 material upgrade available at 260,000 psi. The kit is supplied with ARP moly and full fitting instructions.
