Its primary function is to capture oil vapors and contaminants before they enter the intake system, significantly improving intake cleanliness and engine stability. During engine operation, combustion gases enter the crankcase, and as power and boost pressure increase, so does the volume of oil vapors routed through the PCV system. In factory configurations, these vapors are redirected back into the intake, leading to:
