MSD LS Series Ignition Control - Red SpecificationsGM LS series engines are becoming increasingly popular and demand is growing for a powerful reliable and easily adaptable ignition system for these engines. After delivering the highly acclaimed 6LS box MSD is back with an improved device offering even more possibilities. Designed for both stock and tuned engines this MSD system allows users to precisely control the ignition of their 3rd or 4th gen LS to achieve the level of performance they desire.The new features of the LS Series ignition control are as follows: high-speed data acquisition an optional coolant temperature sensor input idle timing control as well as individual cylinder timing. These features are in addition to the existing programmable step retard launch retard and RPM rev limiters from its predecessor.The MSD LS Series ignition box works with 24x/1x and 58x/4x crank/cam configurations. It auto-detects the correct configuration based on the reluctor wheel pattern so there is no need to select one. It offers six pre-programmed (non-editable) timing tables for stock engines three customisable 3D tables and a customisable timing plot. Selection can be made on the fly using the rotary dial. Custom tables and plots can be edited using MSDView software.This ignition box includes an internal 2.5 bar MAP sensor that can be used on NA or boosted applications. It allows the timing to be advanced or retarded according to intake manifold pressure. The LS Series ignition control also offers 8 MB of data logging so you can set up record and review your passes at the track. The system is compatible with all MSD coils as well as Accel and GM LS coils.
