The Mishimoto Aluminum Oil Catch Can helps prevent oil buildup in the turbocharger, intake manifold, intercooler, and charge piping by keeping oil particles and vapors out of the intake tract. By trapping blow-by in the can instead of allowing it into pressurized turbo plumbing, it helps protect intercooler and intake system efficiency.

Unlike many air-oil separator (AOS) systems, this catch can is not heated, allowing blow-by to condense in the can (including low-octane oil vapors and contaminated fuel vapors). It also traps blow-by rather than draining it back into the oil pan.
