Red Line MT-85 75W85 GL-4 Gear Oil is a full-synthetic ester-based lubricant engineered for manual transmissions and front-wheel drive transaxles. Its shear-stable formula delivers consistent viscosity in both warm and cold conditions, minimizing gear noise and ensuring smoother shifting. Designed with the correct coefficient of friction for most manual transmission synchronizers, MT-85 provides optimal synchro engagement and superior wear protection.
- Recommended for Nissan 350Z, 370Z, most Maxima, Altima, Sentra, Mitsubishi Evolution, Hyundai, Kia, and Quaife synchro manual transmissions
- Suitable for many NV4500 truck transmissions, including Chevy Silverado and Dodge Ram (Chrysler spec MS-9070)
- Safe for brass synchros—formulated without reactive sulfurs found in most GL-5 oils
- Delivers quicker shifts and a perfect synchronizer coefficient of friction
- Eliminates notchy shifting, even in cold temperatures
- High-performance gear protection and extended synchronizer life
- Recommended for GL-1, GL-3, and GL-4 applications, as well as where special synchromesh fluids are specified
