Red Line 75W85 GL-5 Gear Oil
Red Line 75W85 GL-5 Gear Oil is a fully-synthetic gear lubricant engineered for high-performance and OEM applications. Designed for use in differentials, final drives, gearboxes, and transfer cases, it is compatible with many late-model BMW, Dodge, Ford, GM, Jeep, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Ram, and Toyota vehicles. This gear oil is also popular in Formula racing transaxles, including Hewland LD-200 and FTR sequential units.
- Formulated with polyol ester base stocks for superior lubrication under extreme temperatures and loads
- Contains additional friction modifiers for clutch-type limited-slip differentials; most LSDs require no extra modifiers
- Not recommended for most manual transmissions or transaxles with synchronisers due to potential shifting issues from high slipperiness
- Meets or exceeds the viscosity requirements of SAE 75W80, 75W, 80W, 85W gear oils, SAE 30, and SAE 10W30 engine oils
- Formerly known as LightWeight Gear Oil
- Provides high viscosity index for stable film thickness and performance across temperature changes
- Superior shear stability and oxidation resistance compared to conventional and other synthetic gear oils
