Exceptions

• Z4 and X3 use 188L (168L) differentials, though catalogs may list 188K (168K).
• All BMW models produced after 2008 have 188LW differentials, despite catalogs showing 188L.
• E36 Compact (2000) uses 188K, though catalogs may state 188mm.

Installation Notes

• Inspect the inner surface of the small spider gears before installation. If not smooth, machining is recommended for optimal performance.
• BMW models produced after 2008 have a welded ring gear. This must be machined off to install any LSD unit, including RacingDiffs.

Recommended Oil

For best results, use Motul Gear Competition 75w140 oil with all RacingDiffs products.
