Adding power to your engine generates more heat to disperse. Hard driving, particularly in a warmer climate, pushes temperatures higher than optimum. Significantly increased oil temperatures decrease the ability for your engine to stay properly lubricated.

To properly control the oil temperature on your N54 or N55 engine, fitting the MMR low oil temp thermostat is one of the best ways to maintain your oil temps between 90°C - 110°C. It's a much cheaper option than the addition of an expensive oil cooler system.

Machined from aircraft grade T-6061 aluminium before being anodised in the proprietary dark anthracite MMR finish for durability.

Fitting Information

Installation of the MMR low oil temperature thermostat is relatively easy into the OE oil thermostat housing found on the N54 and N55 engines. Please note: only suitable for models from 2008 onwards.
