Audi / VW 1.8L Turbo 20v Pistons

The Audi / VW 1.8L Turbo 20v pistons are engineered for mild to high tuning, ideal for road or club race cars aiming for high mileage and street use. Designed by ZRP engineers and manufactured in Germany from 4032 (T6) high-silicon, low-expansion alloy, these pistons allow for closer piston to bore clearance, enhancing seal quality. This design minimizes slapping noise during cold starts, common in engines with forged pistons, ensuring quiet operation and low oil consumption.

The pistons feature a full round skirt design with a bottom reinforcing band, oversized and deeper valve pockets for high lift camshaft profiles, and offset pins for quiet operation. The wrist pins are crafted from 9310 alloy. Additional features include anti-detonation grooves to protect the first rings, a gas pressure accumulator groove for improved ring seal, and vibration relief. A premium Japanese quality 1.00mm x 1.20mm x 2.80mm ring package is included.
