CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 CAN Display Kit for Porsche 991.2

The CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 is a compact, vehicle-specific data display for the Porsche 991.2, supplied with a model-specific bezel and connection kit. The OLED screen remains easy to read even in direct sunlight. Operation is via the two front push buttons, with support for an optional external rotary knob.

WiFi setup with oDSS

The MFD15 Gen2 can be accessed via WiFi for setup on a smartphone or PC. Using oDSS, you can fully configure the display, upload a startup image, update the display, and log values (logging requires a license).

CAN/OBD support and supported ECUs

The display is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. The values available depend on what your ECU publishes on CAN; DBC documentation may be required and can be imported via DSS. Depending on the manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.

OBD2 queries over CAN (11-bit/29-bit) are implemented, and vehicle-specific protocols such as UDS or TP2 are also available.

If your ECU is not listed, the appropriate TRI/TRX can be downloaded or requested from the database.

For VAG vehicles from model year 2008 (in some cases older), in-depth protocol-based queries are offered, including values such as oil temperature, boost pressure, transmission temperature, cylinder-selective ignition angle correction, high/low pressure, wastegate actuation, and more.

Integrated LED (shift light / warning)

The internal LED can be configured as:

• Shift light: up to 8 colors, RPM thresholds, and a configurable flash point
• Warning LED: per-sensor min/max limits; if exceeded, the LED flashes in the configured color and the shift light is disabled during the warning

Analog inputs and preconfigured CANchecked sensors

Six analog inputs support linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensor characteristic curves are stored from the factory for plug-and-play operation:

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature transducer (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
• AIN5: Not preconfigured
• AIN6: Not preconfigured

A pre-assembled 4-way AIN harness can be used for connection. With the appropriate license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly via a separate pin.

Additional licenses

Live Logging

With the “Live Logging” license, the display logs sensor data into oDSS and can be downloaded to a smartphone or PC. All sensors are logged, but for OBD and UDS only the currently displayed sensors are logged.

Flex Fuel (ethanol sensor directly on the MFD15 Gen2)

With the ethanol sensor license, the sensor connects directly to the display. A 10K pull-up resistor is required between 5V and the signal. Ethanol content and fuel temperature can be displayed and logged.

CAN Switching and AIN forwarding

With the CAN Switching/AIN forwarding license, the display buttons or rotary knob can switch CAN functions and forward analog input voltages to the CAN bus.
