MFD28 VW T6 LHD Display

This MFD28 Gen2 data display integrates into the instrument cluster with a custom frame and reads ECU data directly over the vehicle CAN bus. The manufacturer-specific CAN protocol is tuned for fast sensor querying and is designed to look and fit like an OE-style interior component.

ECU data (examples)

A pre-configured TRI file is supplied as standard, defining supported sensors. Depending on the engine, available values may include:

• Temperatures: coolant, intake air, exhaust, transmission
• Pressures: boost, ambient, oil
• Lambda/mixture: lambda target/actual, short- and long-term lambda adaptation, MAF, engine load, torque
• Driver dynamics: brake pressure, vehicle speed, throttle angle/gas pedal position
• Other: RPM, total ignition angle, gear, battery voltage, ignition correction per cylinder

Connection and expansion

Four analog inputs support linear 0–5 V sensors and NTC sensors. CANchecked display sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be connected.

• AIN1: Temperature sensor
• AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature transducer
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute

An external 8-LED shift light can be connected. Flash colors, RPM limits, and colors can be configured directly on the display.

Ethanol sensor connection is direct to the display; a 10 kΩ pull-up resistor is required between 5 V and signal to display and log ethanol content and temperature.
