CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 Display for Jeep Wrangler JK

The CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 is a compact 52 mm OLED multi-function display designed to keep key engine and vehicle data in view. The OLED panel stays readable even in direct sunlight. With a 52 mm outer diameter and only 12.5 mm depth, it fits common interior bezels and can be installed with or without a vehicle-specific holder. Control is via two windshield-mounted push buttons, with an optional external rotary knob available.

Setup via WLAN (oDSS)

The MFD15 Gen2 can be accessed over WLAN for configuration from a smartphone or PC. Using oDSS you can configure the display, upload a startup image, update firmware, and log values (logging requires a license).

Supported ECUs and values

The MFD15 Gen2 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. Available values depend on what the ECU transmits on the CAN bus; DBC documentation can be imported via DSS/oDSS. Depending on manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.

OBD2 queries via CAN (11-bit/29-bit) are supported, as well as vehicle-specific protocols such as UDS and TP2.

For VW/Audi vehicles from model year 2008, in-depth protocol-based data is available, including items such as oil temperature, boost pressure, transmission temperature, cylinder-selective ignition angle return, high/low pressure, wastegate actuation, and more.

Front LED (shift light and warnings)

The internal LED can be configured as a shift light and/or warning LED.

• Shift light: assign up to 8 colors, RPM limits, and a start-flash RPM.
• Warning LED: set minimum/maximum thresholds per sensor in oDSS; if a sensor exceeds limits, the LED flashes in the configured color. During a warning event, the shift light function is disabled.

Analog inputs and sensor support

Six analog inputs support linear 0–5 V sensors and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensor presets are stored in TRI/TRX files and can be used by connecting the sensors.

Additional licenses

Live Logging

With the “Live Logging” license, sensor data can be logged into oDSS and downloaded to a smartphone or PC. For OBD and UDS, only the currently displayed sensors are logged.

Flex Fuel (ethanol sensor directly to the display)

With the ethanol sensor license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly to the display. A 10 kΩ pull-up resistor is required between 5 V and the signal line. Ethanol content and fuel temperature can be displayed and logged.

CAN switching and AIN forwarding

With the CAN Switching and AIN forwarding license, the display buttons or rotary knob can be used to switch CAN switches, and analog input voltages can be forwarded onto the CAN bus.
