CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 Data Display Kit for Fiat Punto EVO

The CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 is a compact OLED data display supplied as a vehicle-specific kit for the Fiat Punto EVO, including a dedicated bezel and connection cable. The OLED offers strong readability, even in direct sunlight. Operation is via the two front push buttons, with optional support for an external rotary knob.

WiFi Setup with oDSS

WiFi access allows configuration via smartphone or PC. With oDSS you can fully set up the display, upload a startup image, update the device, and (with the required license) log values.

CAN / ECU Value Support

The MFD15 Gen2 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. What your ECU provides depends on the manufacturer and available documentation (including DBC files that can be imported). Depending on manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.

OBD2 queries via CAN (11-bit/29-bit) are supported. Vehicle-specific protocols such as UDS and TP2 are also available.

For VAG vehicles from model year 2008 (and in some cases older), protocol-based in-depth queries are available, including values such as oil temperature, boost pressure, transmission temperature, cylinder-selective ignition angle return, high/low pressure, wastegate actuation, and more.

Integrated LED (Shift Light / Warning)

The internal LED can be used as a shift light or as a warning LED.

• Shift light: assign up to 8 colors and RPM thresholds, plus a configurable flash point.
• Warning LED: set minimum and maximum thresholds per sensor; the LED flashes in the configured color when out of range. During a warning event, the shift light is disabled.

Analog Inputs and Preconfigured Sensor Curves

Six analog inputs are available. CANchecked in-house sensor characteristic curves are stored from the factory for plug-and-play use on the following channels:

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K EGT transducer (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
• AIN5: Not preconfigured
• AIN6: Not preconfigured

A pre-assembled 4-way AIN harness can be used for connection. With the appropriate license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly to the display via a separate pin.

Additional Licenses

Live Logging

With the “Live Logging” license, sensor data can be logged into oDSS and downloaded to a smartphone or PC. Note: for OBD and UDS, only the currently displayed sensors are logged.

Flex Fuel (Ethanol Sensor Direct to MFD15 Gen2)

With the ethanol sensor license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly to the display. A 10 kΩ pull-up resistor is required between 5 V and the signal. Ethanol content and fuel temperature can be displayed and logged.

CAN Switching and AIN Forwarding

With the CAN Switching/AIN Forwarding license, the display buttons or optional rotary knob can switch CAN switches, and the analog input voltages can be forwarded to the CAN bus.
