DynoBox is a portable road dynamometer for measuring vehicle power and torque across the full engine speed range. It uses a precise Ublox GPS module paired with an active GNSS antenna to deliver accurate, repeatable results.

Setup is straightforward: mount the magnetic antenna on the roof, create a vehicle profile, and run a measurement on the road. It’s a practical tool for engine optimization, offering similar capability to a stationary dynamometer at a significantly lower cost.

How a measurement works

1. Connect DynoBox to a computer via USB with the DynoBox app installed, and place the magnetic antenna on the vehicle roof.
2. Create the vehicle profile and enter required parameters such as weight, ambient temperature, and atmospheric pressure (DIN 70020).
3. Calibrate by holding 3000 RPM for a few seconds in the gear used for the run.
4. Accelerate from around 1200 RPM to the limit, then immediately shift to neutral for 15 seconds.
5. Results are displayed as a graph immediately after the run.
