The I-Beam Connecting rods for BMW / Mini Cooper 2.0L B48 Turbo (F-Series) are crafted from 4340 high tensile steel, designed for high performance, extreme durability, and extra rigidity while remaining lightweight. These rods feature a Tapered Pin End, making them compatible with OEM pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent resistance to wear and fatigue, featuring a radial groove for oil reservoir. They are shot peened to relieve stress and undergo multi-stage heat treatment to enhance rigidity. Tight tolerances in production ensure perfect fitment and optimized oil clearances, with controlled bend and twist. Each rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, with an optional upgrade to ARP L19 material rated at 260,000 psi. The kit is supplied with ARP moly and full fitting instructions.
