Design Notes
This MLX (Multi-Layer-Steel-Stopper) gasket uses an extra stopper fold-over layer to provide a torque-limiting surface intended to prevent yielding of the combustion seals. A high-temperature polymer coating and embossments help create a micro-seal for fluids between the head and block.
