Design Notes
MLX (Multi-Layer-Steel-Stopper) construction uses an additional stopper fold-over layer to provide a torque-limiting surface intended to help prevent yielding at the combustion seals. A high-temperature polymer coating and embossments are used to help create a micro-seal for fluids between the head and block surfaces.
