This MLX (Multi-Layer-Steel-Stopper) head gasket uses a 4-layer construction with an added stopper fold-over layer designed to provide a torque-limiting surface that helps prevent yielding at the combustion seals. High-temperature polymer coating and embossments are used to promote a micro-seal for fluids between the head and block surfaces.
