Design Notes

This MLX (Multi-Layer-Steel-Stopper) gasket uses an extra stopper fold-over layer to provide a torque-limiting surface intended to help prevent yielding at the combustion seals. High-temperature polymer and embossments are used to support micro-sealing for fluids between the head and block surfaces.
