This MLX (Multi-Layer-Steel-Stopper) head gasket uses an extra fold-over stopper layer to provide a torque-limiting surface that helps prevent yielding at the combustion seals. High-temperature polymer coating and formed embossments promote a tight micro-seal for fluids between the head and block.
