The CLM Lock Kit is a drift steering/knuckle package developed from two years of testing and iteration around the BMW E36 front suspension. Designed by COELMOTORSPORT in a 3D CAD environment and track-tested in Poland and across Europe, the components are CNC-manufactured in Poland (laser cutting, turning, milling, hardening).

Vehicle fitment

• Designed for BMW E46
• Can be used on BMW E36 and BMW E30 when paired with E36 shock absorbers
• All steering variants require E36 lower-mount shock absorbers

Key geometry and steering changes

• Factory Ackermann correction removed permanently
• Steering angle up to 70° (±5° depending on the components used and the body)
• Designed for near-parallel front wheel behavior through the full steering range
• Up to 40° of steering, toe discrepancy does not exceed 15 minutes (0.25°)
• Redesigned crossovers to reduce bump steer by restoring the nominal (factory) swingarm position on lowered cars
• Roll-center lowered by moving the wheel mounting point upward
• Track width/suspension extended by an additional 3 cm, reducing the need for wheel spacers and lowering unsprung mass

Materials and construction

• Swingarms made from structural steel, CNC cut
• Upper shock relocators made from aluminum alloys
• Adapted for reinforced BMW E46 rod ends
• Includes new reinforced fasteners (10.9 hardness)

Warranty

CLM set components include a warranty that allows a one-time free replacement of each damaged element after the damaged part is returned to the manufacturer, regardless of the cause. The warranty does not cover wear items such as bearings, pins, rods, and rod ends.
