CANchecked Display MFD15 Gen2 Conversion Kit for Mazda MX-5 / Miata NB
This conversion kit replaces the factory oil pressure gauge with a CANchecked Display MFD15 Gen2 in the original cluster location. Installation is designed as plug-and-play and does not require cutting.

WLAN Configuration (oDSS)
The MFD15 Gen2 can be accessed via WLAN for setup on a smartphone or PC. The oDSS web interface supports full configuration, display updates, and uploading a custom startup image. Value logging in oDSS requires a license.
CAN / ECU Data Support
The MFD15 Gen2 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. Which values are available depends on what the ECU transmits over CAN. Depending on the manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.

Internal LED: Shift Light and Warnings
The internal LED supports both shift light and warning functions.
- Shift light: up to 8 colors, configurable RPM thresholds, and a configurable flash point
- Warning LED: assign per-sensor minimum/maximum limits; when a limit is exceeded the LED flashes in the configured color and the shift light is disabled during the warning
Connections and Expansion
Included with delivery:
- MFD15 Gen2 display suitable for Mazda MX-5 NB
- Plug B (6-way)
- Plug C (12-way)
- 20 cm pre-crimped connection cables for power supply, CAN bus, analog inputs, 5V, and sensor ground
- Pins for self-crimping
- Two 1K resistors (pull-up for NTC sensors)
- Vehicle-specific installation frame and connection cables
Six analog inputs support both linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensors are pre-configured in the TRI/TRX files:
- AIN1: Temperature sensor
- AIN2: Converter for Type K exhaust gas temperature probe
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute
- AIN5: Not pre-configured
- AIN6: Not pre-configured
A pre-assembled 4-way AIN harness can be used for sensor connection. With the appropriate license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly via a separate pin.

Additional Licenses
Live Logging
With the Live Logging license, the display logs sensor data to oDSS for download to a smartphone or PC. Note: for OBD and UDS, only currently displayed sensors are logged.
Flex Fuel Ethanol Sensor (Direct to MFD15 Gen2)
With the ethanol sensor license, a sensor can be connected directly to the display. A 10K pull-up resistor is required between 5V and signal. Ethanol content and fuel temperature can be viewed and logged.
CAN Switching and AIN Forwarding
With the CAN Switching and AIN Forwarding license, CAN switches can be controlled via the display buttons or knob, and analog input voltages can be transmitted onto the CAN bus.
Installation
Installation is performed by the customer. Installation instructions can be downloaded in advance.
