Ford F150 MK14 Data Display (MFA28 Gen2 / MFD28)
This integrated data display for Ford F150 MK14 reads engine control unit data directly over the vehicle CAN bus and shows it on the MFD28/MFA28 Gen2 display. A vehicle-specific frame is designed to match the interior for an OEM-style fit. The manufacturer-specific CAN protocol is tuned for fast sensor polling.
Key features
- OEM-style integration with custom frame (fits left-hand drive Ford F150 MK14; right-hand drive version available)
- Queries up to 128 sensors via CAN bus
- 10 individually configurable screens using DSS (Display Setup Software)
- Pre-configured views for quick setup
- Plug-and-play installation via OBD port connection cable
- 4 analog inputs for additional sensors (supports linear 0–5V and NTC)
- Direct ethanol sensor integration
- Optional anti-glare display film
- Sensor polling comparable to manufacturer diagnostic tools
Functions
- Performance meter: acceleration timing (0–100, 100–200, 0–200)
- Data logging: on-demand or continuous logging to internal SD card; last drive data is stored
- Alarms: configurable preset warnings (example: exhaust temperature warning above 900°)
- Diagnostics: read ECU faults in plain text and clear them
- Customization: configurable startup screen and widget selection
- Advanced channels: Math-Channels and User-Table (2D/3D maps) for calculated/derived sensors
Available ECU data (via included TRI file)
Depending on engine and vehicle equipment, the display can provide:
- Temperatures: coolant, intake air, exhaust, transmission
- Pressures: boost, ambient, oil
- Lambda/mixture: lambda target/actual, short- and long-term lambda adaptation, MAF, engine load, torque
- Driver dynamics: brake pressure, vehicle speed, throttle angle / pedal position
- Other: RPM, total ignition angle, gear, battery voltage, per-cylinder ignition correction
Not every engine provides every value.
Analog inputs and expansion
Four analog inputs allow additional monitoring (for example oil temperature, fuel pressure, oil pressure, exhaust temperature). An ethanol sensor can be used for Flex Fuel applications.
- AIN1: temperature sensor
- AIN2: type K exhaust gas temperature converter
- AIN3: 0–10 bar pressure sensor
- AIN4: 0–5.5 bar absolute boost pressure sensor
An external 8-LED shift light can be connected and configured directly on the display (colors and RPM limits).
Ethanol sensor connection: connect directly to the display; use a 10K pull-up resistor between 5V and signal to display and log ethanol content and temperature.
