CANchecked MFD32S (Gen2) Universal Data Display

The CANchecked MFD32S is a universal touchscreen display designed to integrate cleanly into almost any interior while keeping key vehicle and sensor data in constant view. It supports CAN-based ECU data, onboard logging, configurable alarms, and flexible page layouts.

DSS (Display Setup Software)

CANchecked DSS is used to configure the display, manage pages, and review logged data. It includes an integrated log viewer, CAN logger, and a TRI Editor to adjust sensor setup (CAN bus or internal), including sensor names and min/max warning limits.

Data access and supported values

The MFD32S supports CAN bus data queries (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) and K-Line queries (ISO 9141). It ships with predefined TRI/TRX files that define which sensors are queried (varies by engine). Values can be added later if needed.

Examples of supported values

Temperatures

• Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, gasoline temperature, DSG temperature

Pressures

• Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)

Lambda / mixture

• Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment

Other

• RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values

Connections and expansion

Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V signals and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are predefined in the TRI/TRX files and only need to be connected.

• AIN4: 0–5.5 bar absolute boost pressure sensor

An external 8-LED shift light can also be connected, with colors and RPM limits configured on the display.

An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display; a 10k pull-up resistor between 5V and signal is required to view and log ethanol content and temperature.
