CANchecked MFD32 Gen2 (Universal) Data Display

The MFD32 Gen2 universal version is a compact CAN-based data display designed to fit in any vehicle. It comes in a lightweight, symmetrical plastic housing and can be mounted in either portrait or landscape orientation.

Display Setup Software (DSS)

DSS is used to customize the display, download and view log files (log viewer), and use the integrated CAN logger. The integrated TRI Editor lets you adjust sensors (CAN bus or internal), set min/max warning thresholds, and rename sensors.

Supported values (ECU data)

The display supports CAN bus data query including UDS, TP2, and manufacturer-specific protocols. It is delivered with predefined TRI/TRX files that define which sensors are queried (varies by engine). Missing values can be added later.

Temperatures:

• Exhaust, coolant, oil, intake, outside, gasoline, DSG temperature

Pressures:

• Boost, ambient, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)

Lambda/mixture:

• Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment

Other:

• RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values

Connections and expansion

Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be wired.

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST10)

An external 8-LED shift light can be connected; colours and speed limits are configurable on the display.

An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A 10K pull-up resistor is required between 5V and the signal. Ethanol content and temperature can be displayed and logged.
