CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for Toyota Corolla E210
The vehicle-specific MFD28 Gen2 replaces the air-vent insert with an integrated data display while still allowing airflow past the screen. Designed for straightforward self-installation; illustrated instructions are available for most displays.

Display Setup Software (DSS)
CANchecked DSS enables full customization, includes a log viewer for downloading and reviewing log files, and integrates a CAN logger. The built-in TRI Editor lets you adjust sensors (CAN bus or internal), set min/max warning thresholds, and rename sensors.
Supported values
The display supports CAN bus data query (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) and K-Line (ISO 9141). It is delivered with predefined TRI/TRX files that define the queried sensors; available channels vary by engine. If values are missing, they can be added later.
Examples of available channels:
- Temperatures: Exhaust, coolant, oil, intake, outside, gasoline, DSG temperature
- Pressures: Boost, ambient, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)
- Lambda/mixture: Lambda value, injection time, short/long-term lambda adjustment
- Other: RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values
Connections and expansion
Connect external sensors via four analog inputs. Supported sensor types include linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be connected:
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type K EGT converter/transducer (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
A pre-assembled AIN wiring harness can be used for connection.
An external shift light with eight LEDs can also be connected; colors and RPM limits are configurable on the display.
An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display (requires a 10K pull-up resistor between 5V and signal) to view and log ethanol content and temperature.
