CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for Skoda Octavia NX

The vehicle-specific MFD28 Gen2 replaces the air-vent insert with an integrated data display while still allowing airflow past the screen. Designed for straightforward installation, with illustrated instructions available for most versions.

CANchecked Display Setup Software (DSS)

DSS is used to customize the display, download and review logs with the integrated log viewer, and use the built-in CAN logger. The integrated TRI Editor lets you manage sensors (CAN bus or internal), set min/max warning thresholds, and rename channels.

Supported ECU values

Supports CAN bus data querying (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) and K-Line (ISO 9141). The display is supplied with predefined TRI/TRX files that define queried sensors (varies by engine). If values are missing, they can be added later.

Connections and expansion

Four analog inputs support linear 0–5 V sensors and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are already available in the TRI/TRX files and only need to be connected:

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K EGT converter/transducer (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)

A pre-assembled AIN wiring harness can be used for connection. An external shift light with eight LEDs is supported, with colours and RPM thresholds configurable on the display. The ethanol sensor connects directly to the display; a 10 kΩ pull-up resistor between 5 V and signal is required to display and log ethanol content and temperature.

Advanced functions

Math-Channels allow calculated channels based on other sensors. User-Table enables additional channels using 2D or 3D maps.
