CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for Seat/Cupra Ateca (vehicle-specific)

The MFD28 Gen2 replaces the air-vent insert with an integrated data display while still allowing airflow past the screen. Designed for straightforward installation with illustrated instructions available for most versions.

Supported data and protocols

Supports CAN Bus data queries (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) and K-Line (ISO 9141). The display is supplied with predefined TRI/TRX files defining the sensors queried (varies by engine). If values are missing, they can be added later.

• Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)

• Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment

Other

• RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values

Connection and expansion

Four analog inputs support linear 0–5 V and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be connected:

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST10)

A pre-assembled AIN wiring harness can be used for connection.

An external shift light with eight LEDs can be connected; flash colours and RPM limits are configurable on the display.

The ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A 10 kΩ pull-up resistor between 5 V and the signal is required to view and log ethanol content and temperature.

Advanced functions

• Math-Channels: Calculate channels from other sensor values.
