CANchecked MFD32 Gen2 for VW Scirocco MK3 pre-FL

The CANchecked MFD32 Gen2 replaces the air vent with an integrated data display while still allowing airflow past the screen. Designed for straightforward installation, with illustrated instructions available for most applications—no workshop required.

Display Setup Software (DSS)

DSS enables full display customization, log download/viewing via the integrated log viewer, and includes a CAN logger. The integrated TRI Editor allows sensor adjustments for CAN bus and internal sensors, including sensor naming and min/max warning thresholds.

Supported data (examples)

The display supports CAN bus data query (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) and K-Line query (ISO 9141). Predefined TRI/TRX files are supplied; sensor sets vary by engine and can be expanded later if values are missing.

Temperatures

• Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, gasoline temperature, DSG temperature

Pressures

• Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)

Lambda / mixture

• Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment

Other values

• RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values

Connection and expansion

Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V sensors and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be connected.

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)

A pre-assembled AIN wiring harness can be used for connection.

An external shift light with eight LEDs can also be connected, with configurable colours and speed limits directly on the display.

An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A 10K pull-up resistor between 5V and the signal is required to view and log ethanol content and temperature.

Advanced functions
