CANchecked MFD32 Gen2 for Audi TT 8S
The vehicle-specific MFD32 Gen2 replaces the air vent insert with an integrated data display while still allowing airflow around the unit. Installation is designed to be straightforward, and illustrated instructions are available for most versions.
Key features
- OEM-style integration: Vehicle-specific bezel with continued vent airflow
- CAN bus data: In-depth ECU data via UDS, TP2, and manufacturer-specific protocols (depending on vehicle)
- Gear display: Via CAN bus or calculated from speed and RPM
- Touchscreen control: Page navigation with swipe gestures
- Custom pages: Create layouts, add images, and set a start animation
- Inputs: Up to 4 analog inputs plus direct ethanol sensor support
- CAN switching: Use the display as a keypad and transmit custom CAN messages
- Configurable alarms: User-set warnings (e.g., exhaust gas temperature above 900°C)
- Data logging: Save logs to the internal SD card
- Performance meter: 0–100, 100–200, and 0–200 timing without additional hardware
- DTC*: Read and clear faults for engine ECU, transmission, ABS, and all-wheel drive
- Auto dimming*: Dims with the instrument panel lighting
*Not available on all protocols.
Pages and display views
- Delivered with predefined sample pages
- Up to 10 pages
- 20 widget types (e.g., sensor value, analog pointer, YT diagram, speed bar, round display, vertical/horizontal bar)
- Drag-and-drop positioning and scalable widgets
- Fully adjustable widget colors
- Up to 64 widgets per page
Display Setup Software (DSS)
DSS is used to configure the display, review downloaded log files, and use the integrated CAN logger. The built-in TRI Editor lets you manage sensors (CAN bus or internal), set min/max warning thresholds, and rename sensors.
Supported values (examples)
The display is supplied with predefined TRI/TRX files that define which sensors are queried; available values vary by engine. Missing values can be added later.
Temperatures
- Exhaust, coolant, oil, intake, outside, gasoline, DSG
Pressures
- Boost, ambient, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)
Lambda / mixture
- Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment
Other
- RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values
Scope of delivery
- MFD32 Gen2 data display integrated in ventilation insert (LHD vehicles)
- Vehicle-specific connection cable
- Quickstart guide
- USB data cable
- SD card (pre-installed)
- SD card adapter
- Anti-reflection display foil
Connection and expansion
Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensors can be used with the supplied TRI/TRX definitions.
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST10)
An external shift light with eight LEDs can be connected; colors and RPM limits are configured on the display. An ethanol sensor can be connected directly (requires a 10k pull-up resistor between 5V and signal) to display and log ethanol content and temperature.
Advanced functions
Math channels allow calculations between sensors. The user table enables additional sensor creation using 2D or 3D maps.
Optional accessories
- CC24000 SLM08 - external switching lightning module
- CC22780 ANC04 - four-way AIN-harness
- CC22100 CBD08 - eight-way CAN distribution hub
- CC22902 NTC01 - temperature sensor for liquids, 1/8 inch NPT
- CC22903 TCC01 - type K converter, 0–1250°C
- CC22901 FLP01 - pressure sensor 0–10 bar (145 psi), M10x1
