CANchecked MFD32 Gen2 Vent Display for Audi A3/S3 8L FL
The MFD32 Gen2 replaces the air vent insert with an integrated data display designed for a factory-style fit. The vehicle-specific bezel is shaped to keep airflow past the display, and installation is intended to be doable without a workshop (illustrated instructions are available for most displays).

Display Setup Software (DSS)
DSS is used to customize the display, download and view log files, and use the integrated CAN logger. The integrated TRI Editor lets you manage sensors (CAN Bus or internal), including sensor names and min/max warning thresholds.
Supported ECU Values
The display supports CAN Bus data query using UDS, TP2, and manufacturer-specific protocols. It ships with predefined TRI/TRX files that define which sensors are queried (varies by engine). Examples include:
Temperatures
- Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, gasoline temperature, DSG temperature
Pressures
- Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)
Lambda / Mixture
- Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment
Other
- RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values
If values are missing, they can be added later.
Connection & Expansion
Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be wired:
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type K EGT converter (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST10)
A pre-assembled AIN wiring harness can be used for connection.
An external shift light with eight LEDs can also be connected. Flash colours and RPM limits are configurable on the display.
An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A 10k pull-up resistor is required between 5V and the signal wire to view and log ethanol content and temperature.
