CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for VW Golf MK4 FL R32 / Bora
The MFD28 Gen2 replaces the air vent with a vehicle-specific display solution that keeps airflow available while putting key vehicle data in your line of sight. Installation is designed to be achievable without a workshop; illustrated instructions are available for many displays.

Display setup and configuration
Using CANchecked DSS software, the display can be fully customized. It includes a log viewer, CAN logger, and a TRI editor to adjust sensors (CAN bus or internal), set min/max values for warnings, and rename sensors.
Supported ECU data (examples)
The display supports CAN bus data query (UDS, TP2, and manufacturer-specific protocols). It is delivered with predefined TRI/TRX files; available sensors vary by engine and can be expanded later.

- Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, gasoline temperature, DSG temperature

- Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target)

Connection and expansion
Sensors can be connected via four analog inputs; linear 0–5V and NTC sensors are supported. CANchecked sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be wired in.
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST10)
An external shift light with eight LEDs can be connected; flashing colors, speed limits, and colors are configurable on the display.
An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A 10K pull-up resistor between 5V and the signal is required to view and log ethanol content and temperature.
