CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for Hyundai i30N PD (pre-facelift)
The MFD28 Gen2 replaces the air-vent insert with a vehicle-specific display solution that stays integrated in the cabin and keeps key data in your line of sight. The bezel is designed to maintain airflow past the display. Installation is intended to be achievable without a workshop; illustrated instructions are available for most displays.

- Auto dimming*: Dims with the instrument panel.

Display Setup Software (DSS)
DSS is used to customize pages and manage logs. It includes a log viewer, an integrated CAN logger, and a TRI Editor to adjust sensors (CAN bus or internal), set min/max warning values, and rename sensors.
Supported values (examples)
The display supports CAN bus data queries (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) as well as K-Line (ISO 9141). It is supplied with predefined TRI/TRX files that define the queried sensors (varies by engine). Missing values can be added later.
Temperatures
- Exhaust temperature, coolant temperature, oil temperature, intake temperature, outside temperature, gasoline temperature, DSG temperature.
Pressures
- Boost pressure, ambient pressure, fuel pressure (pre-feed pump), rail pressure (actual/target).
Lambda / mixture
- Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment.
Other
- RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values.
Connection and expansion
Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be connected:
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type-K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
A pre-assembled AIN wiring harness can be used for connection. An external 8-LED shift light can be connected, with colours and RPM limits configured on the display. An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display and allows ethanol content and temperature to be viewed and logged.
