CANchecked MFD28 Gen2 for Honda Civic MK7
The MFD28 Gen2 replaces a factory air vent with an integrated data display. The vehicle-specific bezel is designed to retain airflow past the display. Installation is intended to be doable without a workshop; illustrated instructions are available for many displays.

Display pages and layouts
- Delivered with predefined sample pages.

- 20 widget types (e.g., sensor value, analogue pointer, YT diagram, speed bar, round display, vertical/horizontal bar).
- Widgets can be resized and positioned via drag & drop.
- Widget colours are fully adjustable.
- Up to 64 widgets per page.
Display Setup Software (DSS)
DSS is used to customize the display, download and view log files, and use the integrated CAN logger. The integrated TRI Editor allows sensor management (CAN Bus or internal), including naming sensors and setting min/max warning thresholds.
ECU data and supported values
The display supports CAN Bus data query (UDS, TP2, manufacturer-specific protocols) and K-Line (ISO 9141). It is supplied with predefined TRI/TRX files that define which sensors are queried; availability varies by engine. Values can be added later if missing.
Examples of supported channels:
- Temperatures: Exhaust, coolant, oil, intake, outside, gasoline, DSG temperature.
- Pressures: Boost, ambient, fuel pressure pre-feed pump, rail pressure actual/target.
- Lambda/mixture: Lambda value, injection time, short-term lambda adjustment, long-term lambda adjustment.
- Other: RPM, air mass, vehicle speed, throttle angle, total ignition angle, ignition angle retraction per cylinder, N75 timing (%), terminal 30 voltage, torque, gear, diesel-specific values.
Connections and expansion
Four analog inputs support linear 0–5V and NTC sensors. CANchecked in-house sensors are stored in the TRI/TRX files by default and only need to be connected:
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type K exhaust gas temperature converter (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
An external 8-LED shift light can be connected; flash colours, speed limits, and colours are configurable on the display.
An ethanol sensor connects directly to the display. A 10K pull-up resistor between 5V and signal is required; ethanol content and temperature can be viewed and logged.

- Math channels: Calculate sensors using other sensor values.
- User table: Create additional sensors using 2D or 3D maps.
