CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 Data Display Kit for VW Golf MK5
The CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 is a vehicle-specific data display kit for the VW Golf MK5. It uses an OLED screen for clear readability, including in direct sunlight. This kit includes a vehicle-specific bezel and connection cable set, and is operated via two push buttons on the faceplate (optional external rotary knob supported).

WiFi Setup with oDSS (Online Display Setup Software)
The MFD15 Gen2 can be accessed via WiFi for setup on a smartphone or PC. Using oDSS you can fully configure the display, upload a startup image, update the device, and log values (license required).
ECU, CAN, and OBD Support
The MFD15 Gen2 is compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. Which ECU values are available depends on what the ECU transmits; DBC documentation can be imported via DSS. Depending on the manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.
OBD2 via CAN (11-bit/29-bit) is supported, as well as vehicle-specific protocols including UDS and TP2.

For VAG vehicles from model year 2008 (and in individual cases older), in-depth protocol-based queries are available, including values such as oil temperature, boost pressure, transmission temperature, cylinder-selective ignition angle return, high/low pressure, and wastegate actuation.
Integrated LED Functions
- Shift light: up to 8 colors, configurable RPM thresholds, and configurable flash point
- Warning LED: assign min/max limits per sensor; LED flashes the configured color when out of range (shift light is disabled during warning)

Analog Inputs & Sensor Support
Six analog inputs support linear 0–5V sensors and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensor curves are stored by default for plug-and-play operation:
- AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
- AIN2: Type K EGT transducer (TCC01)
- AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
- AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
- AIN5: Not preconfigured
- AIN6: Not preconfigured
A pre-assembled 4-way AIN harness can be used for connection. With the appropriate license, an ethanol sensor can also be connected directly to the display via a dedicated pin.

Additional Licenses
Live Logging
With the “Live Logging” license, the display can log sensor data into oDSS and you can download logs to your smartphone or PC. All sensors are logged, with the note that for OBD and UDS only the currently displayed sensors are logged.
Flex Fuel (Ethanol Sensor Direct to Display)
With the ethanol sensor license, the sensor connects directly to the display. A 10 kΩ pull-up resistor is required between 5V and signal. Ethanol content and fuel temperature can be displayed and logged.
CAN Switching & AIN Forwarding
With the CAN Switching/AIN Forwarding license, the display buttons or rotary knob can be used to switch CAN functions and apply analog input voltages to the CAN bus.
