CANchecked MFD15 Gen2 CAN Display Kit (Renault Clio Mk4)

Vehicle-specific MFD15 Gen2 data display kit for the Renault Clio Mk4. The OLED screen remains easy to read in direct sunlight. Supplied with a model-specific bezel and connection kit. Operated via the two front push-buttons; an optional external rotary knob can be added.

WiFi setup with oDSS

The MFD15 Gen2 can be configured over WiFi using a smartphone or PC. With oDSS you can configure pages and sensors, upload a startup image, and update the device. Live logging in oDSS requires a license.

ECU / protocol support

Compatible with ISO 11898-2 and SAE J2284. Available values depend on what the ECU transmits over CAN; DBC files can be imported via DSS where available. Depending on manufacturer, up to 64 sensors can be queried.

OBD2 queries over CAN (11-bit/29-bit) are supported, as well as vehicle-specific protocols such as UDS and TP2.

For VAG vehicles from model year 2008 (and in some cases older), in-depth protocol-based data can be displayed (e.g., oil temperature, boost pressure, transmission temperature, cylinder-selective ignition angle retard, high/low pressure, wastegate actuation).

Integrated LED (shift light / warning)

The internal LED can operate as a shift light or a warning LED.

• Shift light: up to 8 colors, RPM thresholds, and configurable flash point
• Warning LED: per-sensor min/max limits; flashes in the configured color when out of range (shift light is disabled during warnings)

Analog inputs and sensor support

Six analog inputs support linear 0–5 V and NTC sensors. CANchecked sensor curves are preloaded for plug-and-play use:

• AIN1: Temperature sensor (NTC01)
• AIN2: Type K EGT transducer (TCC01)
• AIN3: Pressure sensor 0–10 bar (FLP01)
• AIN4: Boost pressure sensor 0–5.5 bar absolute (BST01)
• AIN5: Not preconfigured
• AIN6: Not preconfigured

A pre-assembled 4-way AIN harness can be used for connection. With the appropriate license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly via a separate pin.

Additional licenses

Live logging

With the “Live Logging” license, sensor data can be logged into oDSS and downloaded to your smartphone or PC. For OBD and UDS, only the currently displayed sensors are logged.

Flex fuel (ethanol sensor)

With the ethanol sensor license, an ethanol sensor can be connected directly to the display. A 10 kΩ pull-up resistor is required between 5 V and signal. Ethanol content and fuel temperature can be displayed and logged.

CAN switching and AIN forwarding

With the CAN Switching / AIN forwarding license, the display buttons or rotary knob can be used to switch CAN switches, and analog input voltages can be forwarded onto the CAN bus.
