CANchecked CBD10 – CAN Bus Hub

The CANchecked CBD10 (“CAN Bus Distribution”) is a compact CAN bus distribution module with 10 ports designed to simplify adding and organizing multiple CAN devices in a vehicle. It helps with clean routing, shared power/ground distribution, and proper bus termination—especially useful when you’re working with separate networks such as drive CAN, comfort CAN, or a programming CAN (e.g., USB2CAN).

Connections

The CBD10 provides 10 connections. Each port carries four lines:

• CAN High
• CAN Low
• 12V
• Ground

Hardware

• Dimensions: 96 × 47 × 33 mm
• Connectors based on DTM04-4P
• Optional matching receptacles: DTM06-4S
• Mounting via two center holes; screws included

Configuration (Jumpers)

Under the lower cover, jumpers on the PCB allow the internal CAN routing and termination to be configured:

• JP3 + JP4: Bridge CAN Bus 1 and CAN Bus 2; remove both to separate them (each bus then has four connections).
• JP1: Enables termination for CAN Bus 1.
• JP2: Enables termination for CAN Bus 2.

Power Distribution Notes

The housing can optionally be fitted with a 12V/ground supply lead, allowing other ports to tap power for connected devices. Devices with higher power consumption should not be powered through the unit; in those cases, connect only CAN High/CAN Low and use a separate power supply.

Default Setup

In the default configuration, all 10 CAN connections are linked together and both CAN termination resistors are enabled.
