CANchecked CBD06 – CAN Bus Hub

The CANchecked CBD06 (“CAN Bus Distribution”) is a compact CAN bus distribution module designed to simplify wiring when you need multiple CAN devices in a vehicle. It helps with clean routing, shared power distribution where appropriate, and proper bus termination.

• 6 connections, each carrying CAN High, CAN Low, 12V, and Ground
• Compact housing: 96 × 47 × 33 mm
• DTM-style connectors based on DTM04-4P; matching DTM06-4S receptacles available optionally
• Two central mounting holes; screws included

Configuration options

Jumpers on the circuit board (under the lower cover) allow the module to be configured:

• JP3 and JP4: Bridge CAN Bus 1 and CAN Bus 2; removing both separates them into two independent buses (four connections each)
• JP1: Enables termination for CAN Bus 1
• JP2: Enables termination for CAN Bus 2

In the default configuration, all 6 CAN connections are linked together and both termination resistors are enabled.

Power notes

The unit can optionally be fitted with a 12V/Ground supply lead so the other ports can tap power for end devices. Higher-consumption devices should not be powered through the CBD06; connect them to CAN only and use a separate power supply.
