Forged Narrow Superlite 4 Radial Mount
The Forged Narrow Superlite 4R (FNSL4R) is the latest evolution of the Superlite caliper family, adding radial mounting for easier adaptation and more precise alignment over the rotor with two planes of adjustment. It’s designed to deliver consistent braking performance across a wide range of vehicle applications and demanding conditions.
The FNSL4R body is built around a durable, efficient forging. Each caliper is stress-flow forged from premium aluminum alloy billets to align the metal’s grain structure with the caliper’s shape, reducing the internal stress disruptions associated with machining from a straight billet. The design is developed using computer-generated solid modeling and FEA stress analysis, with weight starting at 4.9 lb.
FNSL4R calipers are available in different piston bore sizes and can be used as front or rear calipers. Standard pistons are one-piece stainless steel for corrosion resistance and reduced heat transfer, with optional Wilwood Thermlock pistons to further cut heat transfer into the caliper body, seals, and fluid.
